iA Client Relationship Manager, Samantha Gallant, from Prince Edward Island, has been the lead organizer for Harness the Hope PEI since 2019.
In the past two years, Samantha and her team raised over a $100,000 for Islanders facing cancer.
They partnered with The Canadian Cancer Society and with the oncology departments at both Prince County and Queen Elizabeth hospitals to help fund critical programming and services, such as:
- - Cancer information services
- - Travel
- - Hotline
- - Wigs, head wraps and prosthetics
- - Funds for families to attend Camp Goodtime for children living with cancer
- - Funds to help support persons/caregivers stay at the “Lodge that Gives” in Halifax.
Touched by Samantha’s involvement, iA Financial Group supported her and made a donation under our donation policy for employees who get involved in their community.
Samantha and her team are heading into year three and are looking forward to creating more hope and faith for Islanders.
